Raising Funds For a Legal Battle

A Contested Case Hearing regarding an excessive aquifer drawdown request has been requested.  Can you support our cause?

Our Goal

DONATE TODAY!!!

We have achieved 75% of our goal of $100,000 to cover costs of this fight.
We still have time to get to goal, and   if you can help, please do.
Consider your personal costs of needing to drill a new, deeper well
without assurances that the water will be there.
We as a community need to self-regulate groundwater withdrawal to sustain us.
Part of this self-regulation is asking our groundwater district to limit new requests for large withdrawals from traditionally held large ranches that did not ask nor need more groundwater that was available.

JOIN THE CAUSE!

the Lower Trinity Monitor well readings have fallen 13' in the last year.   The Middle Trinity Monitor well has risen 14' - the benefit of our summer rains.   The seriousness of the drought is not being taken lightly by our groundwater district.  A moratorium on new permitted wells was unanimously approved by the groundwater district board on August 15, 2024.  Domestic/livestock wells are registered wells, so new registrations for these wells will continue to be issued
